Ed Sheeran, presently touring India for his +–=÷× Tour, has been generating considerable buzz in the country. Amidst his various engagements, which include hobnobbing with Bollywood celebrities and performing for disadvantaged children, fans are captivated by the renowned “Shape of You” artist.

During an interview with Brut, Ed Sheeran reflected on his past visits to India, recalling fondly his initial introduction to the country. This marks his third tour in India, having previously visited in 2015 and 2017.

Sharing his affinity for Indian music, Sheeran disclosed, “The first time I came over here (India), I went to a small party with a bunch of people. Those were big stars in Bollywood. And I think that kind of opened the door. There’s a lot of Indian music that’s fantastic. I’d say that’s kind of what I’ve been listening to the most for the last like a year and a bit.”

Ed Sheeran also expressed admiration for Indian musicians, particularly highlighting Diljit Dosanjh’s work. He also praised Armaan Malik, with whom he has collaborated previously, and commended King for his innovative contributions to the music scene. Ed Sheeran even conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with King, recognizing the exciting musical endeavors the artist has undertaken.

Ed Sheeran Parties with Bollywood Celebs

Since his arrival in Mumbai, British singer Ed Sheeran has been mingling with numerous Bollywood luminaries, including Shah Rukh Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, and others. Comedian Kapil Sharma hosted a lavish party for Sheeran on Thursday, followed by the singer enjoying another evening in the company of celebrities on Friday. Among those spotted at Gauri Khan’s restaurant in Bandra were Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, accompanied by his girlfriend Saba Azad and sons, choreographer Farah Khan with her triplets, Madhuri Dixit and her husband Shriram Madhav Nene, Malaika Arora, Huma Qureshi, and more. Sheeran himself arrived at the venue in his car. The English singer-songwriter is currently in India for his Mathematics Tour, with a performance scheduled on March 16 at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course Grounds.
